B’s Cracklin BBQ is the place to go to get some real southern barbecue. They started out in Savannah back in 2014 but has recently opened a new store in Atlanta. B’s is locally sourced, so you will know exactly what you are getting when you eat there. If you are heading to B’s, make sure you take at getting the pork and hoecakes, one of their most popular dishes. Or you can get some ribs. Also, they are releasing a full-blown breakfast menu this month. So make sure you head over to B’s for some barbecue.

Living in the south makes one appreciate real southern food. One restaurant that is sure to have good southern food is The Busy Bee Cafe. The Cafe has been around since 1947 and has been known for its hospitality and good food. Some of their popular items is their fried chicken, pulled pork, and corn bread. A great thing about the Busy Bee Cafe is that it is located near the Georgia Aquarium, so you can arrive early in the morning and have lunch at this cafe.

Created by two-time James Beard Award-nominated chef and restaurateur Meherwan Irani, Chai Pani arrived in Decatur, Ga. in 2013 and serves up a variety of authentic menu options ranging from “chaat” (small plates) and sandwiches to “uttapam” (Indian crepes), thalis (home style entrees), desserts, beverages and signature craft cocktails.

El Super Pan provides sandwiches that are based on Latino bakery goods and created by Chef Hector Santiago. He wanted to create a restaurant that would allow him to utilize the bold favors of his birth place, Puerto Rico. Another great thing about this restaurant is that their bread, buns, and sweets are baked in-house, so it will always be fresh. El Super Pan offers take-out for those that are in a hurry, but you can also stay and relax for a while before you need to head back to work.

These cups are styled after Mexican fruit cups with whip cream to top it off. They also have Cuban-inspired grilled sandwiches that are prefect for lunch time. Lotta Fruit is a great place to grab something sweet during your lunch break that is healthy at the same time.

Nick’s Food to Go is one of Atlanta’s best kept secret and one of the best places to get authentic Greek food. Their most popular dish is their gyro; however, it could be hard to decide because there are several different kinds, like lamb or pork. It is also great for lunch breaks because everything is made to go. Therefore, if you are in a hurry, you can head down to Nick’s and will be will able to provide you with great food fast. That way, you can be on your way.

OK Cafe is another restaurant where its southern hospitality shines bright. However, it is also the place where you can get food just how grandma used to make it. So if you are in the mood to reminisce about your childhood, head down to OK Cafe.

It sources and stocks the highest quality products, including fresh cut meats, fish, cheese, freshly baked breads, and sweets. However, you can also take these products home with you because Star Provisions will sell items like these in their market. So you can go to eat, but stay to shop.

The traditional favorites can be found here like homemade pastrami and bagels but they also make sure to focus on fresh ingredients and simple preparations.
