Located in Candler Park on Dekalb Avenue. Brothers Jonathan and Justin Fox opened their restaurant in August 2007, and since then it has grown to include their quick service “Que”-Osk on Ottley Drive as well as Fox Bros @ the Terrapin Taproom at The Battery! Enjoy classics like pulled pork and beef brisket as well as their amazing fried pickles! The menu also offers a signature burger as well as a jalapeno cheddar sausage sandwich! The main location is open daily for lunch and dinner, so you can enjoy great BBQ at any time!
Located on Akers Mill Road. Owned by Chefs Cody Taylor (a native Southerner) and Jiyeon Lee (a South Korean ex-pat). At Heirloom Market, “simple, classic, and fresh are three adjectives that should never be lost when providing such a polarizing cuisine as BBQ.” Their simple menu is packed with unique flavor! Enjoy classic pulled chicken and turkey breast, and you can also enjoy spicy Korean pork and smoked kielbasa! Heirloom Market is open Tuesday – Saturday for lunch and dinner.
Two locations: Highland Avenue and Curb Market. Founded by brother/sister duo Howard and Anita Hsu. At Sweet Auburn Barbecue, “classic southern barbecue goes hand in hand with modern eclectic influences.” Enjoy favorites like baby back ribs and spare ribs. If you love sides, then you have a lot of options here! Classics like fries, Brunswick stew, and potato salad are available as well as unique options like green papaya Asian slaw and jerk spiced collards. The Highland Avenue location is open daily, and the Curb Market location is open Monday – Saturday.
Located in Virginia-Highland. Open since 2009, D.B.A. Barbecue “has become the kind of friendly, neighborhood place where you can come have a beer and wings with friends while watching your favorite sport.” Enjoy a menu filled with favorites like St. Louis ribs, pulled chicken, and house-cured pastrami. There are also delicious sides like creamed corn, baked beans, and mac and cheese. Dining with kids? They offer kid-sized portions, too! Open daily for lunch and dinner, and brunch is offered on Sundays.
Located in Decatur on Clairmont Road. Food is cooked fresh daily at Community Q BBQ, so you will definitely be enjoying some of the best BBQ out there! Community Q has a menu like a large variety of options, like pulled pork and pulled chicken, smoked beef brisket, and mild smoked sausage. Yummy sides like fries, collards, slaw, and potato salad are available, too. Need to satisfy a sweet tooth? Be sure to try the banana pudding and the blueberry bread pudding! Open daily for lunch and dinner.
Four locations: Roswell, Shallowford, Milton, and Krog Street Market. The original location in Roswell opened in 2011 under owners Robert Owens and Gregory Vivier. During their first year of business, Grand Champion BBQ was voted by the AJC to have the best baby back ribs, beef brisket, and macaroni and cheese! Make sure to try these award-winning menu items as well as the banana pudding and the Southern lasagna. All four locations are open daily for lunch and dinner.
Located in Atlanta on Collier Road. Das BBQ was featured on an episode of the show Atlanta Eats, and many of the patrons who were interviewed mentioned the same dish: the beef brisket, referred to as being “tender and juicy.” They use local hickory and local pecan wood to smoke the meat, adding to its delicious flavor. Their pulled pork and ribs are delicious as well. Love sides? Then make sure to try the mac and cheese and the potato salad! Open daily for lunch and dinner.
Located in Atlanta on Edgewood Avenue and has the same owners as The Edgewood Speakeasy and MR 327. At Bone Lick, you can “have a good time and get weird.” Bone Lick BBQ is “your home . . . but cooler and with better snacks!” The menu is full of awesome options like fried pickles and pork rind nachos. Try the smoked meatloaf or dry-rubbed ribs with sides like jalapeno mac and cheese or pork rinds. Be sure to try a cocktail like the El Zorro, too! Closed on Mondays but open Tuesday – Staurday for dinner + brunch on weekends.
Located in Castleberry Hill on Nelson Street. Part of 101 Concepts that brings you favorites like Meehan’s and Food 101, Smoke Ring opened in 2013. Owned by Executive Chef Jordan Wakefield and his wife Erin, Smoke Ring offers “an authentic creation of Georgia-style barbecue.” The menu has pulled pork as well as brisket and chicken and also offers turkey and lamb belly. The bar has a large variety of beer and wine as well as awesome cocktails like the ‘Merica Mule. Open daily for lunch and dinner as well as brunch!
Located on Main Street in Atlanta. Bryan Furman, the Head BBQ Pitmaster, “left his day job as a welder to pursue cooking his signature-style pit smoked barbeque, chicken and ribs.” In 2017, B’s was named by Atlanta Magazine as one of the best barbecue restaurants in Atlanta and by MSN Lifestyle as one of the 50 Best BBQ Joints in America! Try menu favorites like Carolina’s Finest Pork Sandwich with classic sides like coleslaw, potato salad, and cornbread. Open Tuesday – Sunday for lunch and dinner. Also located in Savannah!
