We here at Culinary Local took the time to ensure you would not have to look far to find your next night out. From cooking classes, to wine tastings, to board games, we found a wide range of culinary experiences to try to fit each person and their needs.

Tuesday, February 19

FREE Cooking Class | Cutco Kitchen Atlanta | 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm

Are you wanting to learn new quick and easy recipes? Trying to expand your culinary horizons? Do you just want to learn quick ideas for family dinners? Well, Cutco Kitchen Atlanta is offering a free cooking class with a local Atlanta chef. This event is here to teach people of all culinary skill levels how to make cozy comfort foods. The recipe you can look forward to learning is an easy slow-cooker pot roast. Cutco Kitchen Atlanta is ready to help you achieve greatness by teaching you the step-by-step process to make this mouth-watering meal.

 Tea Class with Rishi Tea | Taproom Coffee & Beer | 6:00 pm – 7:30 pm

If you’re the type of person who loves tea over coffee or soda, then this event is for you! Rishi Tea is traveling all the way from Milauwakee, Wisconsin to bring you tips and tricks for tea. Attendees will be able to enjoy and taste teas while Matt, a Rishi consultant, teaches how to brew the best cup of tea at home. It will be the perfect night for discussion of best tea pairings while maybe trying new brews. Not only can you enjoy great conversation but each person who attends will receive a box of loose leaf tea from Rishi!

 Boards and Brews | Monday Night Brewing | 4:00 pm – 9:00 pm

Thanks to Well Played! and Monday Night Brewing you and your friends can now take game night out of the house with their Boards and Brews event. Feel free to bring your own game to enjoy as well as the smorgasbord of games provided by Well Played!. Nothing goes better with an adult game night with your friends than the craft and seasonal beers provided by Monday Night Brewing. Try to learn new games or enjoy your old favorites. No matter what you choose this will be a night jam packed with fun! Pints of core and seasonal beers will only be $4!

Wednesday February 20

Five-Course Grilled Cheese & Wine Dinner | {three} sheets | 7:00 pm – 10:00 pm

Looking for a night of childhood reminiscence with an added touch of sophistication? {three} sheets is bringing you five separate and distinct grilled cheeses that have been specifically paired with five wines. These pairings are designed for the wine to enhance and complement the flavors of the artisan cheeses in the grilled cheeses. It would be the perfect opportunity to see friends you have not seen in awhile. Spend time together and enjoy the more sophisticated version of your childhood favorites with a more grown up beverage.

 Cooking with Chef Lee | Freeze Cream | 6:45 pm – 9:00 pm

Chef Lee says great cooking does not require you to be a professional chef and cooking is meant to be an experience rather than a chore. This menu for tonight will be vegan/vegetarian and you will get to eat your dishes after so bring an appetite. Chef Lee will be teaching you how to make stew beans as well as quinoa and sauteed spinach. Remember if you attend to wear close-toed shoes and dress comfortably as you will be standing most of the time! Most importantly, remember to have fun and be creative with your dish in this hands-on experience.

Thursday February 21

Quarterly Wine Dinner | Piastra | 7:00 pm – 11:00 pm

Are you ready for a fine dining experience you will never forget? Looking for the chance to sample and broaden your wine horizons? This event is exclusive to those of you who are 21 and up. It would be a good chance for parents looking for a date night idea. There will be five courses served paired with twelve Italian wines. These delicious vinifera wines will be brought out with dishes such as plato crudo e pesca, maiale brassato, and capra arrosta. It is a perfect opportunity to expand your culinary palette and try new dishes you may not regularly have the chance to eat.

February Beer Tasting | The Wing Cafe & Tap House | 8:00 pm – 11:00 pm

What’s a more classic combination than beer and wings? The Wing Cafe & Tap House is looking to serve up some plump, juicy wings while you get to taste test 14 Porters, Stouts, Local Meads, and Scottish Ales. Enjoy the live music and stick around for awhile. Maybe even take part of the weekly Texas Hold’Em Tournament to wish House cash. But when you get ready to go home don’t forget to grab the Swag bag you will receive from The Wing Cafe & Tap House. Whether it’s a night out with the boys or just another Thursday night, this event is one you do not want to miss.

Friday February 22

Mix and Pour Mixology Class | Southern Art and Bourbon Bar | 7:00 pm – 9:00 pm

Come discover the tricks of the trade with Southern Art and Bourbon Bar’s head mixologist. Take part in an intimate, hands-on learning and tasting experience while you get “shaken and stirred”. During this class, you will be learning and enjoying winter-themed bourbon cocktails. Not only will you taste an array of bourbons, you will enjoy small, complimentary bites from Southern Art and Bourbon Bar. If you decide to stick around for a dinner, they are offering a 10% discount as well.

Saturday February 23

Saturday Brunch & Saturday Fun Day | The hive buckhead | 11:00 am – 12:30 am

Need a new place for weekly brunch? Well we have found your new weekly spot! The hive buckhead invites you and your family to join them for Saturday Brunch and Saturday Fun day! Enjoy refreshing, bottomless mimosas with the girls while trying a sophisticated banana foster french toast. If that is not for you then come try out the short ribs and polenta, we promise you will not be disappointed. The hive buckhead promises there will be good food, good conversation, and fun for everyone to be found at the hive.

2019 Atlanta Mardi Gras Ball | Ivy Community Center | 8:00 pm – 1:00 am

The Atlanta Mardi Gras Ball will be returning to it’s original format this year! Dress up in your snazziest tuxes and gowns to go dance the night away with traditional Mardi Gras dances and features. You and your friends can enjoy delicious food and drinks all night long. This year’s live music will be featuring the musical stylings of  DJ Jack Benny, DJ Kix, DJ Eclazz and more! This event will sell out quickly so make sure you get your group tickets as soon as you can! Vendors are selling Mardi Gras parasols at the venue so you can enjoy the line dance in true Mardi Gras fashion. Men need to be sure to bring your handkerchief!

Sunday February 24

Sushi Making Class with Chef Jordan Smith | O-Ku | 12:00 pm – 2:00 pm

Join O-Ku and learn how to spread, layer, tuck and roll your way to sushi heaven! During this fun, hands-on experience you’ll learn all the skills needed to make sushi rolls at home. Chef Jordan Smith will teach you how to prepare sushi rice, select sushi-grade fish at your local market and how to add additional tasty ingredients that enhance your roll. Each guest will learn how to make three rolls – sake pairings will be provided. The class is informal, so dress casual and prepare yourself for a fun night out!
