Have You Been Sconed? A Scrumptious New Johns Creek Bakery

The weather was perfect for Seven Sisters Scones grand opening on October 17 in Johns Creek, GA. This local bakery, which opened in July, celebrated their grand opening with face painting, music, drinks, local coffee, and of course samples, lots of samples.

The company got its start as a vendor at local farmers markets and has graduated to a brick and mortar store. Seven Sisters Scones serves up homemade scones six days a week (Monday through Saturday) from 7:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Their scones (regular and gluten free) are made using high-quality ingredients and come in both regular and minis.

All seven of the sisters (there are two brothers too) were on hand to celebrate their sister Hala’s accomplishment. This larger-than-life family is all about supporting each other from helping to create the initial flavor combinations, to baking, to setting up for the party, and even manning the register.

Two flavors of gluten-free scones (baked in a shared kitchen) are available daily. Saturday’s flavors were fig and goat cheese, lemon poppy seed, and maple pumpkin. The scones are light, flavorful, and moist without being overly crumbly. These scones are loaded with ingredients whose flavors shine and compliment their gluten-free flour blend. All of the scones are wrapped individually and kept behind the display case.

Coffee, tea, and soft drinks are available daily, in addition to homemade croutons (regular and gluten free), biscotti, and homemade mixed berry, caramel, and hot fudge sauces. They also offer gift baskets and boxes and take special orders.

Savory soups and scones filled with meats and cheese called – scone-wiches – will make their appearance on the lunch menu this month.

Stop by this Johns Creek bakery and pick up some scones and a cup of coffee. I promise you will not be disappointed.
