Whole Hog Class with Hunter Cattle

Get to know cuts of pork from the inside-out. During this interactive demonstration, Rusty & crew break down a whole pig while explaining various cuts of meat and the nuances of butchery. Participants slice their own pork chops and create two pounds of signature bacon!

Hunter Cattle is family owned and operated in Brooklet Ga, just outside of Savannah. They are a “pastured and sustainable” farm which raises cattle, hogs, and chickens without giving them antibiotics, hormones or caging them. They also have other animals such as horses, rabbits, goats, turkeys, lambs, and ducks. All of their animals are raised and treated humanely. http://www.huntercattle.com/about-us/

This class runs from 10 - 1 and includes a lunch of slow roasted pork shoulder, braised vegetables and beverages. "Whole Hog" attendees will take home their own pork chop and bacon. Due to the curing process, bacon is available for in-store pick up the following Saturday. $100/ Person. Classes are held at Pine Street Market. Refunds are not available for missed classes.

Class transfer or cancellation/refund requests must be made at least 7 days prior to your class start date.
