Description

You’ll find Wahoo! Grill hidden in the heart of Decatur, and you may want to stay nestled in the corner for the entire evening. Chef Scot takes classic dishes and subtly adds individuality and Southern flair. Between the gorgeous glass-lined walls, incredible dishes, and cultured staff, Wahoo Grill is the perfect neighborhood spot to spend an evening with someone special.
Chef Scot has put together an incredible tasting menu for this experience, and has personally paired each bite with a wine to match. It may be hard to choose just one of the appetizers to start with, between the fried pimento cheese fritters topped with tomatillo jam, the crunchy tuna tacos with apple radish shaw and wasabi cream, and thats only the beginning. Between your bold flavored dishes, enjoy either the chopped salad tossed with melted tomatoes, gorgonzola, bacon, and toasted pepitas, or a citrus salad of blood oranges, shaved fennel, sugared pecans and goat cheese.
With five entrees to choose from, you should probably share with your partner. Pick a classic Southern dish like Chef Scot’s shrimp and grits, simmered in a spicy tomato cream sauce over creamy stone ground white cheddar grits alongside a glass of La cala Vermentino, or opt for a grilled ribeye with a bourbon-pink peppercorn sauce and potato cauliflower gratin while sipping a glass of Katherine Goldschmidt Cabernet Sauvignon. Don’t let your sweet touch down, end the night with a butterscotch pot de creme; a butterscotch custard with vanilla whipped cream, malden sea salt and, of course, a caramel sauce drizzle.
