A Taste of the Tea Room: Scone-Making with Linda Rivers

Tuesday, January 29 3:00 pm - 5:00 pm
General AdmissionJanuary 27, 2019$25.00$0.99

In this mid-afternoon workshop with Chef Linda Rivers, you will learn about the history of the delicious British treat known as a scone and learn proper techniques for making these scrumptious pastry treats built upon the simplest ingredients: flour, fat and milk!

Linda will demonstrate her scone-making process, step-by-step, for creating the lightly sweetened, biscuit-like cakes that make tea-time (or anytime!) so much lovelier.

You will leave with Linda’s favorite scone recipe, a goodie-bag of her scones, and firsthand knowledge of how a British baker makes magic!
It’s the perfect experience for an aspiring baker, a ladies’ day out (grab lunch in the cafe before hand and then come to class!), or a little miniature get-away for the Anglophile in the family!

Please Note:
Class and materials fee include: history of scones, discussion, scone-making demo, recipes, and take-home scones.
$25 registration + $5 for supplies (to be paid to the teacher in exact change or check on the day of class)
