It has finally began! The countdown to Christmas Day. There is much to do, but you don’t want to burn yourself out early. Or you may need a little help here and there. Here are some events to help you relax. However, we also want to make sure you spread that Christmas cheer as well. So go out and have fun!

Monday, December 4

Cocktails, Cuisine & Conversation | Twisted Soul Cookhouse & Pours | 6:30 pm – 9:30 pm

Cocktails, Cuisine & Conversation: Heighten Your Culinary Senses with a Cocktails, Cuisine & Conversation Tasting Menu. Taste your way through the flavors of the South as chefs Jennifer Hill Booker, Deborah VanTrece,  and Mixologist Tiffanie Barriere take you back  in time to your very first food memoriesThis December’s event is the first, as these three Culinary Trailblazers Journey to The James Beard House. The evening will feature Southern inspired small plates, craft cocktails and an open panel to ignite discussion about the road to success in the food service industry and the challenges African American women face as they achieve it.

Italian Wine Dinner with Sommelier & Chef Roberto Crocenzi | Vino Venue | 7:00 pm – 9:00 pm

Meet our dear friend chef, sommelier & certified cheese master taster, Roberto, from Tuscany! This fall you don’t have to travel far to experience the Tuscan way of life, cuisine and wine. Together with executive Chef Patric Good, Roberto will present the food & wine culture of Tuscany and Naples, where Roberto’s parents are from, with an emphasis on the Slow Food Movement of which he has been an instrumental advocate for throughout Italy. In addition to an entertaining and educational presentation, you will enjoy Chef Patric’s authentic dishes prepared with fresh seasonal ingredients flown directly from Italy, along with quality local ingredients, served with a side of Italian charm in a multi-course luncheon paired with beautiful regional wines. The fresh cheeses, olive oil and wines will also be available for sale.

Cocktail Flight Night | King of Pops Bar | 8:30 pm – 9:15 pm

So you’re torn on what to do with friends and family this holiday season, and want the perfect blend of fun and boozy? Well look no further, we’ve got the best of both worlds with a refreshing drink and a frozen treat! We here at King of Pops have created a totally legit all in one solution: dropping a popsicle into a cocktail! We would never ask you to consume flavors like the ever-ambiguous “blue raspberry” or “green” and we at the bar will treat you to real fruit and other identifiable, delicious ingredients.

The tasting includes half-portion samples of our Horchata Spiced Rum poptail, seasonal Prosecco Spritz, and our famous ‘Bear Trap’ (with Blackberry, Honey, Ginger, and Bourbon (YUM). While our popsicles and Poptails are made with real fruit, some ingredients, like the ginger and strawberries, have the added bonus of being from our Georgia farm- King of Crops. And with all this fresh produce, it’s basically healthy, right?

Wine Tasting Series – A Spanish Trip to Ontanon | Wahoo! Grill | 5:00 pm – 6:30 pm 

Join Wahoo! Grill for our Wednesday Wine Club the first Wednesday of every month. The tasting includes three to four wines and a perfect food pairing with each wine. Seating is limited. Makes a great gift!

Demonstration Class: Creating a Hanukah Dinner | Big Green Egg | 6:30 pm – 8:30 pm

Come and celebrate the Festival of Lights with us at Big Green Egg! Expand your recipe collections and join us for some Hanukah classics. We’ll learn to make matzo ball soup, latkes, Mandelbrot, brisket, 40 clove garlic chicken and smoked sufganiyot.

Wine Tasting | Under the Cork Tree | 5:00 pm – 7:00 pm

Under the Cork Tree hosts new producers and representatives of great wineries every Thursday in the lounge! Come in anytime between 5-7 PM to taste three different types of wine and learn about their history. Full service for snacks or dinner are available if you are interested and retail purchases of the select wine are encouraged as well!This week’s features include: Vinaceous Cabernet Sauvignon Raconteur 2014, Boneshaker Zinfandel 2014, and Banshee Sonoma Coast Chardonnay 2015.

Hands-On: Holiday Pie Making | Big Green Egg | 6:30 pm – 8:30 pm 

Come join us for a holiday tradition! You’ll learn the secrets and science behind a perfectly flaky tender pie crust along with a range of creative fillings. Taylor will guide you through a variety of pies using different combinations of filling, crusts styles, sweeteners and seasoning. After the pies are baked, you will get to taste each one and take home the rest of your own creation. For this class, we ask that each participant bring a 9″ glass pie plate.

Klinker Brick Winery’s Bold Red Winter Wine Tasting | The Savvy Cellars | 7:00 pm – 9:00 pm

We’re dreaming of a cold winter’s night, a comfy chair by the fire, warm and fuzzy slippers, a hearty stew and a glass of bold RED wine as the winter solstice is just a few weeks away! This Tour is the pursuit of Happiness. Find out about nooks and crannies that make every adult kid happy. Nostalgia Candy Stores, Cupcakes, Wine Tasting, Beer Tasting and so much more. Big Wheels or Trampolines? Yes that’s right the kid in you wants to be on this tour.

VIP tickets includes The Winter Wonderland Brunch which will be a feast before we hit the tour. Just enough to sit back, relax and ride. Featuring vegan and gluten-free options as well.  Waffles made to order, plenty of toppings so satisfy your taste buds. Southern style with a twist. General Seating Tickets (excluding brunch) will meet in Marietta for the first stop and proceed on the tour to be returned to the Marietta location. Caroling Wine Tasting | The Gifted Ferret | 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm

Experience the difference of Boutique/Artisan Wines. Our wines can’t be found in grocery or package stores and these exceptional wines are made by producers from around the world who are passionate about the art of wine making. We will be tasting an average of 5 wines at each tasting event. Join us for an evening of Christmas Caroling from a special guest that is studying for musical Broadway as she beautifully sings some traditional Christmas Carols during our wine tasting. Who knows, with enough wine tasting we may get some of our guests to belt out a song or two.
