It may not feel like it, but fall is finally here. So hopefully, we will be able to cool down soon. While we are waiting for that to happen, why don’t we enjoy ourselves. There’s lots of events going on around Atlanta, but the most popular ones have alcohol involved. So check out these 12 boozy events to see if one might interested you.

Tuesday, September 25

Hands-on Class – Big Green Egg Basics | Big Green Egg | 6:30 pm – 8:30 pm

Whether you are new to the EGG or just want to brush up on your cooking skills, join Chef Amanda Egidio for EGG 101 to learn all the tips and tricks to Grilling, Roasting, Smoking, and Baking with the Big Green Egg. This is a group class based on technique with lots of time for questions, interaction … and time to make and enjoy some delicious food. Menu includes: Ancho coffee-rubbed rib-eye; Grilled romaine with applewood-smoked bacon, blue cheese and crispy fried onions; Cedar-planked Thai chili salmon; Grilled donuts with brandied peaches.

Sip and Stroll: Endless Summer | ADAC West | 5:30 pm

Celebrate endless summer at ADAC West’s annual Sip and Stroll! Demonstration Class – Tailgating and Small Plates | Big Green Egg | 6:30 pm – 9:00 pm

Tailgating season is upon us, and Jerry is back again to share his favorite easy to prepare recipes, perfect for tailgating at the ballgame, race or wherever your friends and family gather to cheer on their favorite team. These recipes will satisfy any hungry crowd while you relax and enjoy the festivities. Menu includes: Grilled flatbreads; BBQ Chicken; Grilled mushrooms; Beef tenderloin sliders with smoked onions on King’s Hawaiian rolls; Sausage kebobs, onions and peppers; Spinach and artichoke dip; and grilled pineapple and smoked spiced nuts.

Small Batch Bourbon Collection Dinner | Under the Cork Tree | 7:00 pm – 9:00 pm

Join us for another fantastic dinner at Under the Cork Tree. We will feature a selection of whiskeys and Bourbons paired with 4 delicious courses. Our Bourbon dinners are fun, delicious and informative. Secure your seat today as these events do sell out!

Cocktail Class | Bar Mercado | 7:00 pm

Join Bar Mercado and learn how to properly make those classic cocktails for any occasion. The class is Wednesday, September 26 at 7. Bar snacks are provided, and tickets are $35.

Monthly International Wine Tasting | Caravaca Market | 7:00 pm – 10:00 pm

You are cordially invited to our monthly Wine Tasting event on the last Wednesday of each month. Join us for an in depth look at our wine selection and learn about their origins while experiencing specialized food pairings in a casual setting. We will be featuring domestic as well as international wines seasonally. Limited space per event. Ticket price includes six wine tasting flight and small bites.

Tailgating Extravaganza + Tony Conwa | Lucy’s Market | 3:00 pm – 6:00 pm

Whether you’re heading to Athens for the UGA vs. Tennessee game or have plans to watch football at-home with friends, Lucy’s Market will ensure you’re prepped for football season with a Tailgating Extravaganza on September 27th. Owner Kim Wilson will be showcasing her must-have items for any tailgate, while serving complimentary bloody marys. No matter the team they root for, Kim will walk guests around Lucy’s to help them personally prep to ensure the weekend ahead is a hit. In addition, Lucy’s will be debuting a new exclusive Steve Penley product launch, and famed event producer Tony Conway will be on-site to sign copies of his new book, TONY CONWAY LEGENDARY EVENTS.

Urban Tree Harvest Dinner | West Egg Cafe | 7:00 pm – 9:00 pm

Join Urban Tree Cidery at West Egg Cafe for a Harvest Dinner! Chef Andrew Smith will prepare a four-course dinner with cider pairings, and Jenna Mobley & Band will play live music throughout the event. Tickets are $56 and can be purchased online.

Friday, September 28

The Atlanta Cheese Festival | Historical Fourth Ward Park | 5:00 pm – 10:00 pm

Mark your calendar for the 6th Annual Cheese Fest Atlanta–a celebration of sustainably-made artisan cheeses and specialty foods from around the world. Meet the small producers; enjoy unlimited samples of fine cheeses and other delicacies; sample and cast your vote in the Meltdown Competition; and enjoy live music and cash bars offering beer, wine and non-alcoholic options. A VIP ticket includes a reserved seat in our waterfront wine, beer or champagne pairings. Family friendly event. Tickets go on sale mid-June. Event proceeds go to The Giving Kitchen, a local non-profit providing emergency assistance to restaurant workers through financial support and a network of community resources.

Artisan Wine Tasting | The Gifted Ferret | 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm

Wine Tasting is a great way to expand your palate, find new wines that you have never experienced before and meet great new friends that share your same passion for wine. Our Wines are all artisan / boutique wines which simply put means non-mass produced wines. Our wine makers are in it for the love, passion and art of wine making and often have passed their wineries down in their families from generation to generation. These wines will not be found in any grocery or package store and the quality comes shinning through, which is another great reason to attend a wine tasting. Bring your friends for a fun and relaxing evening and taste the latest additions to our wine portfolio. Atlanta Mimosa Festival | Atlantic Station – Pinnacle Site | 1:00 pm – 5:00 pm

Atlanta Wine Festivals hosts the first Atlanta Mimosa Festival at Atlantic Station on Saturday, September 29, 2018, 1pm-5pm; VIP at 12pm. There will be plenty of mimosas, bellinis, wine, beer & cider as well as live music, college football & DJ Q-Tip.

Black Tie Pub Crawl | Atlanta Beltline | 11:30 am – 3:30 pm

What’s better than putting on your fanciest duds and doing a pub crawl down the Beltline with your best friends? When it also benefits the kids! Local charity, Soccer in the Streets, is hosting its annual Black Tie Pub Crawl. This year there are four stops (1 drink included at each location) starting at Two Urban Licks and ending at Hop City (in Krog Street Market).
