English Whisky’s Classic expression is a perfect no. 2 in a six-whisky pairing: it’s wonderfully complex and has an outstanding bourbon cask aroma. MacLeod’s ‘Highland Region’ offering is one of the best value single malts. Benromach 15 is a sherry-bomb at 43% ABV! Tamdhu Batch Strength is a nuclear sherry-bomb at 58.8% ABV. We will finish with the best ‘campfire single malt’, as per Andy Smith, LASC: Ardbeg 10. At 46% ABV of Islay peated whisky perfection, Ardbeg 10 is a WINNER to be enjoy have your evening meal or with a cigar.

Cabernet Sauvignon is known as the king of red wine grapes, and the grape itself came about in 17th century France as a result of an entirely accidental breeding of a red Cabernet Franc grape plant with a white Sauvignon Blanc grape plant. Due to the grape’s ability to be grown in almost any climate that is not very cold, Cabernet Sauvignon is now one of the most widely planted red grape varietals in the world, and its wine is the most sought after. What’s not to like about a full-bodied red wine with dark fruit flavors and savory flavors from black pepper to bell pepper!

Come join Rusty & crew for a hands-on sausage-making workshop as they explain a variety of grinding, casing and cooking methods. Participants take home two pounds of their own sausage creation. This class runs from 10 – 1 and includes a lunch of beer braised bratwurst, country sides, and beverages. If you’re looking for tips on sourcing, selecting and cooking the best beef around, this class is for you! Jerry Draluck of Buckhead Beef is our expert on meat selection, including grades, marbling, color, aroma, aging, cleaning and preparation, and he will walk you through the process of sourcing the best meat for your next cook! Jerry will also cook up a meaty lunch including ribeye steak, pork tenderloin and stuffed hamburgers, along with baked potatoes, grilled vegetables and whole grilled onions.

Big Shanty Festival Wine Down Tasting | The Gifted Ferret | 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm

We will be tasting a minimum of 5 wines from The Gifted Ferret’s Wine Cellar. Wine Tasting is a great way to expand your palate, find new wines that you have never experienced before and meet great new friends that share your same passion for wine. Our Wines are all artisan / boutique wines which simply put means non-mass produced wines. Our wine makers are in it for the love, passion and art of wine making and often have passed their wineries down in their families from generation to generation.
